History

Government College Birohar (Jhajjar) is located in rural vicinity, having lush green lawns, trees and a pollution free environment. The college embarked upon its journey in the year 2007 as Co-educational Institution. During its journey of over 17 years, the college has made tremendous progress on all fronts, be in education, sports, extracurricular besides a variety of other fields. The college has strength of 880 students enrolled in the session 2023-24. The college is situated on Birohar – Khanchroli Road and in the West direction of District Jhajjar and East direction of city Charkhi Dadri. The college has its own occupied campus in the village - Birohar in district - Jhajjar. The college is recently included u/s 2(f) of UGC Act 1956 on dated 18-12-2023. The college has lush green ground, library, well-equipped Science Labs, Computer Labs, ICT classrooms and two spacious multipurpose Halls. The enriching study environment and the participative work culture govern the functioning of the college. The college administration and staff are committed to their work in order to meet the demands of changing educational requirements. The institution emphasises on the all-round development of the students' personality so that they can meet the challenges of life with grit and confidence. The holistic development of students is the prime motto of the institution. Starting with the minimum requirements, the college has progressed by leaps and bounds and has undergone a complete transformation. During the last five years, the college has progressed in many spheres. The Post Graduate Programs are opting CBCS in M.A. History whereas Medical Science in B.Sc has been introduced during the last five years. The physical infrastructure is augmented and maintained from time to time to provide physical facilities to the students. Various cocurricular/extracurricular and extension activities are organized frequently and the students’ participation is remarkable. The staff members are striving hard under the effective leadership of the worthy Principal and following the visionary policy guidelines given by MDU Rohtak & Directorate of Higher Education Haryana. The College was accredited with "NAAC B Grade" for Cycle 1 on 19/02/2025.
